Messiah Choral Society Easter Performance

Messiah Choral Society of Grand Junction

This coming Easter Sunday, April 1 at 2:30 pm, the Messiah Choral Society will present its 14 th
Annual full performance of Handel's Messiah, at the Grand Junction High School Auditorium.

ADMISSION TO THE EASTER CONCERT IS FREE
This concert is a musical gift to the Grand Valley community made possible by the volunteer
hours of our chorus, the lifelong commitment to making music by our orchestra, soloists, and
director, the generous financial contributions of our donors, and our audience as no gift has
meaning without a recipient. As a free concert, the performance provides a wonderful way for
friends & family to enjoy an Easter Sunday afternoon listening to this timeless musical
masterpiece.
Soloists this year are: Irene Vera, Soprano (Mexico City, Mexico); Kathleen Ruhleder, Alto
(Houston, Texas); Mathew Coronado, Tenor (Gunnison, Colorado); DeAndre Simmons, Bass
(New York City). Also featured, special return of Carlos Elias as Concertmaster.
For those who cannot attend the Easter Sunday concert, we are offering tickets
at $5 per person to our dress rehearsal on Saturday, March 31 at 10 am at the
GJHS Auditorium.
A 45 minute informance (brief talk about the performance) will be presented by Scott Betts,
